H.O.M.E.
The magical place where it all began - the birthplace of Ronix. In the winter of 2005-2006, we set up show here and created our own metaphorical water wonderland. We all worked out of an oversized garage and incubated what we feel is the most important brand in our industry. Long hours, minimal pay, and no heat - a like minded crew of watermen and women developed a culture where...
Foam got lighter.
Shapes got faster.
Fins learned to float.
Carbon became more reactive.
And Surfing became more fun.
Now nearly 20 years later - with many of those same people still at Ronix - we have outgrown that garage. However, we are proud to have two of our favorite surf designs and constructions still made here. Your Osmo and M50 is more than just a Made in the USA surfer from your favorite lake. It is handmade at a place built by Herb O'Brien, the pioneer of the first wakeboard, wakeskate, and wakesurfer, and one of the founders of Ronix. These hallowed grounds have fostered a mystique in watersports innovation for over half a century.
INNOVATION STARTS AT H.O.M.E.
H.O.M.E. is located near Seattle, WA with some of the most advanced aerospace composite suppliers in the country. Over the years, our Rolodex of friendships has grown with many of these manufacturers. These companies come to visit us, we teach them how to ride and they show us what is the latest in carbon atoms. As a result, we have been able to use materials that have truly blown us away.
The Carbon Pro is a culmination of environmentally friendly resins and laminates that make such a difference in performance and sustainability. Ride deeper in the pocket of the wave with a confidence that your board was built with extra energy to get you back into the line with ease.
H.O.M.E. CARBON PRO OSMO SKIMMER
A new skimmer that is fast in either direction and carries more speed for technical skim style tricks. With rider Dylan Matthews in the driver’s seat we began shaping performance driven skimmers with a true twin-tip design, taking into consideration how changing the tip and tail together impacts the capability of the board. The result is a board that is fast but stable, and reactive but composed. Spin easier, air-out smoother, and land shuvs with more speed. For the rider wanting a board that complements their meticulous inputs and weight transfers when riding. The twin-tip inspired shape features a wider profile than a typical competition-style skimmer. This increases rotation speed and allows for shorter board sizes. The added width also increases pocket speed making the experience of building speed from the back of the wave easier. The Osmo’s rocker and deck shape mirror this approach. Minimal rocker in the tip and tail and a domed deck complement the board’s connective feel. Short for Osmosis, meaning the transfer from a more concentrated liquid to less, the nature of transferring energy into the OSMO is unique. It accommodates the revolving door of micro-adjustments for a closer connection between the rider, board and wave. Land 720 shuvs or dial in your 360. Check off an elusive new skim trick and develop your riding style. Made in the Good ol’ U.S. of A.
