The same year we released the first wakesurfer ever sold at retail the 949 area code was born. 949 is known for Trestles, The Wedge and Dana Point - widely recognized as the birthplace of surfing. Home to many of the sports icons like Hobie Alter, Herbie Fletcher and John Stevenson along with most of the famous surf companies we wear and ride on in the ocean. We couldn't think of a more deserving name of this handle series than this historic 30 mile stretch of so cal waves.

The 949 collection features 2 external floats on the handle, a 2' section of bungee to help springboard the rider into the pocket of the wave, and durable end caps for those slightly off course rope tosses back into the boat. Our most affordable surf combo series is available in 4 color ways. This womens colorway will surely be easy to find in the water when the boat is circling around.
