ABILITY: ADVANCED

Designs featuring the perfect blend of speed and stability - wrapped in the finest materials and manufacturing processes.

Everything about this high-end wing, stabilizer, mast, and construction is based on balanced speed. Less chord width, and thinner profile than our Balance wing series.  A more forgiving lower modulus makeup delivering smoother control than our High Aspect wing series.  The perfect hybrid collection for a rider looking to take their journey deep into the distance of the boat, all the while having the discipline with stall speed and consistency.  New to the family is a smaller 1130cm² front wing for smaller riders in any condition or average size riders looking for more of the top end speed and hairpin arcs found in our High Aspect series.  Also we created a new mast specific for the Speed series called the Pulse.  The Pulse mast won't quite have the top end speed of our Velo model, but this more affordable option has a consistent tight turning radius with still an efficient natural glide speed.  After years and years in the making we are so proud to debut our latest version what we feel is a technological marvel in the world of high-end foiling. Autoclave manufacturing – spread tow carbon fiber with each layer wrapped at a varying degree of angle to increase the rigidity of the torsional properties and a design that lives up to the name Speed. As soon as we started riding this new Shadow Carbon series with a Mod 84 board, we instantly were able to ride as far back as 20 waves from the boat. Your ticket stub to being a member of the Wake Thief Club.

SPEED FRONT WING

1130cm²/1330cm²/1530cm²

HIGH ASPECT PERFORMANCE MEETS BALANCE STABILITY.

The bridge between the extra smooth and stable Balance series and the unbridled horsepower of our new High Aspect series. For the rider that prioritizes a little bit of everything in their ride. Created for riders with a foiling background looking for natural glide, pumping efficiency and the secret sauce stability found in our Balance series. Easy to initiate and maintain pumps with a new slightly lower modulus construction. Typically, fast wings are high maintenance and need a lot of attention – and once they don’t have it - they will fade out and the rider’s momentum is gone. We added a concave running through the bottom of the front wing – and this drastically helps keep momentum even at slower speeds or in flat water conditions. Much like its Balance series sibling we also added a little twist on the end of the winglets to keep your flight riding high. Not only can you pump easier with the Speed edition relative to our Balance series – each push generates significantly more energy. A striking hydrodynamic design created to amplify your path of 4th wave adventures. A smaller 1130cm² size will have more agility through a turn, added speed in a straight line - just not quite the natural lift of its bigger brother 1530cm² version, and the 1330cm² the blend of both the personalities.

PULSE MAST

29"

SMOOTHNESS FOUND IN OUR FLUID, REACTIVENESS FOUND IN OUR VELO.

Our latest incubation in the foil laboratory. A height and shape based off our Velo mast – with a construction that is a fusion of carbon and Alloy. What happens when you mix the rhythmic jazz sounds of our Fluid mast and the rock and roll octaves of Velo Mast? You get our New 29” Pulse – part smooth mixed alloy, and part heart pounding high grade spread tow carbon for a new aquatic good vibes voyage. From a personality perspective we wanted a blended mast that took traits of our other 2 mast series – and from a pricing perspective we wanted a mast that will fill in that gap. The result is a mast that any highend rider will be able to get their wake thief on with, and a temperament that makes it an easy progression mast to grow with – especially when paired with our vertical stabilizer.

SPEED REAR STABILIZER

180cm²

A FAST WING NEEDS A SIMILAR OUTPUT FROM  IT'S STABILIZER.

1 portion stability of our Balance stabilizer and 1 portion of our incredibly fast new High Aspect series – we proudly present our 3rd generation Speed Stabilizer. This stabilizer will have more flow and freedom of our 3 options for a rider that puts an emphasis on glide and quickly changing directions with more of a yaw style turn creating a tight turning radius. The thought is to have a pronounced concave on the top of the stabilizer – this pocket makes for a faster overall design but more importantly it greatly improves the stall speed. Even if you aren’t in the pocket of the wave or in a powerfully executed stride of pumping, this shape gives you that safety net to regain your composure to gain momentum or added height.

LINK FUSELAGE

39cm

HIGH ENERGY CONSTRUCTION MEETS SLEAK CONICAL.

Premier manufacturing and materials for a rider that wants extra snap out of a turn and feedback with their pumping. The Link is the intersection to the mast, front wing and rear stabilizer with perfection in every attribute. This streamlined conical design achieves the highest marks of anything we have ever tested in rigidity and water efficiency. A strong efficient link is in many ways the driving force to a smooth, predictable foiling experience. This version is made with our premier form of manufacturing and materials with autoclave and Shadow Carbon.

ADJUSTABLE KICKTAIL

Leverage and support where a rider’s foot wants to be, not where it has to be. Our patent pending adjustable kicktail offers up to 4" of fore/aft movement and 30 degrees of side-to-side adjustability, putting added leverage exactly where your back foot wants it.

The result is more support through the back foot, while leaving the front foot free to move without being locked into a footstrap.

Adaptability without compromise.

727 - TUFF TECH FOIL BOARD

THE DEBUT OF OUR V2 DESIGN BASED ON A TONE SETTING FLIGHT FOR A SMOOTH, STABLE, CENTERED NATURAL RIDING POSITION.

The foundation to a proper flight for riders who prioritize stability and want a board that helps minimize mistakes. A very consistent, medium-tempo, medium-profile board that will always have you in control. One of this boards many strengths is minimizing mistakes - not highlighted being off axis - many riders don’t need a board that creates more energy rather one that will absorb it. This is all about developing rythym and tempo.

The 727 starts with a neutrally balanced shape and flat top deck that, with the help of foot straps, keeps the rider feeling grounded, centered and in control. From there, the emphasis shifts to water deflection. Exaggerated bevels and increased tip and tail rocker help the board redirect off the water instead of getting caught by it.

Arc Technology Tips. Inspired by snowboard construction, this arced tip profile further reduces the all-too-common dreaded submarine when the board approaches the water at an angle.

Then comes another first: Adjustable kicktail. Leverage and support where ariders foot wants to be - not where it has to be. Now a rider has the option of up to 4" of vertical movement and 30 degrees of side to side adjustability. A massive game changer for a rider that wants added leverage on their backfoot - but the freedom to move their front foot by not using footsteps. Accommodation without compromise.

We also added Speedwalls to a foil board for the first time. In foiling, we aren’t trying to create traction with the water. We’re trying to escape it. Our poured urethane vertical sidewall helps the board release from the waterline faster, allowing the rider to return to their natural flight pattern.

For added security through the learning process, the 727 comes with foot straps along with an adjustable kicktail that can accommodate nearly any desired side-to-side angle or fore-and-aft foot placement. Leverage and support can now be positioned exactly where the rider wants it.

The shape, construction and collection of first-ever features make the new 727 a foundation designed around one goal: creating the most confidence-building platform in wakefoiling. A bulletproof construction wrapped in our Surface Skin that helps break up the water on landings. The materials also put an emphasis on on those untimed hard hitting encounters with a board rack.

There isn’t a very direct correlation between board size and rider size. We have had 230 lb.riders  preferring the 3’8 and 175 lb. riders enjoying the 4’6. Since there isn’t much contact between the board and the water determining the board push and drive the way that there is on a wakesurf board – instead size is determined by ability and style.

Benefits of a 4’1 length

  • More lift
  • Quicker response
  • More attack angle in cutbacks
  • More power in pumping

Benefits of a 4’6 length.

  • Easier deep water starts
  • More control
  • More stability
  • Added comfort in rougher water conditions
  • – If you are new to foiling and weigh over 180 lbs. - along with a shorter mast and a balance front wing this 4’6 length will help with your learning curve to foiling

FOIL BOARDS 101

FOIL BOARD 101

There are three styles of boards in wakefoiling. One foil board gets you to the show, the other two are the show

THE FOUNDATION BOARD

727

The first board is about developing your own style and creating a platform that is based on a grounded, stable, predictable riding style that will hide your mistakes - not highlight them. Above all else, this rider prioritizes a construction that will absorb the energy - not magnify it. Along with a shape that will always put you in a nice, centered feeling with a comfortable equal weight distribution on your front and back foot at all times. This board is designed with countless features that will protect you from the unknown variables of foiling all the while building up your confidence to enter the wild exotic rides of our personality boards.

THE PERSONALITY BOARDS

VALKYRIE

This style of rider feels more comfortable applying more weight on their front foot and approaches every pump with a longer cadence - sweeping motion stride that creates the pinnacle of top end speed. This parabolic shape also generates more powerful locked in turns on those high-speed adventures. A board like no other built for attack angle, and top end drive. Made with our Superconductor construction using a foam that is 6x denser than traditional surf core and wrapped in a full carbon exterior creating energy out of a pump or a turn like nothing we have ever experienced.

BLACKBIRD

This style of rider feels more comfortable applying more weight on their back foot and approaching every pump with a more compact vertical pump ideal for quicker, shorter bursts. This style of pump will recover quicker from those untimely dead zones. In addition to high powered sprints – the Blackbird is also ideal for airs and landings. Made with our Superconductor construction using a foam that is 6 x denser than traditional surf core and wrapped in a full carbon exterior creating energy out of a pump or a turn like nothing we have ever experienced.

FLIGHT PATTERNS

we have two high-energy personality boards built to get you to your destination with more flair, speed, and electricity than ever before. they just take you there in completely opposite ways.

ASSEMBLY

PULSE MAST / SPEED WING

1 - MAST TOP PLATE TO MAST

Take two of the four screws in your hardware kit labeled mast top plate + Fuselage to mast screws and thread them through your mast top plate and into the Fluid mast. There technically is no top vs. bottom on the mast – but most people apply the mast with the Ronix logo closest to the mast top plate. This way when it is in the water – it is easier to read.

These two screws are labeled (A) on the illustration.

2.A - MAST TOP PLATE TO BOARD (DETERMINING MAST POSITION)

Place your foil board upside down on a flat stable surface.

Grab your assembled mast / top plate from step 1 and look at which profile of the mast is thinner vs. which profile of the mast is thicker. The thinner profile edge of the mast is your trailing edge and should be pointing towards the tail of the board – vice versa on the thicker profile edge.

2.B - MAST TOP PLATE TO BOARD (ASSEMBLY)

Now locate all four of the pieces of hardware labeled foil board track screws and track inserts. Make sure each of the screws are threaded into the track inserts – but barely threaded at first until they are in the correct location. Now put two of the track inserts into the left track – one of them all the way up the track and the other one all the way down the track. Now repeat this with the right track with the additional two track inserts. With all four inserts located in all four corners of the track – set the mast top plate in the middle of the track. Be sure the trailing edge of the mast is the thinner profile end – and is pointing towards the tail of the board. Then individually slide each screw/track insert so that it fits snug into the cut-out area of all four corners of the mast top plate. Once all four inserts are all the way inside the cut outs – you can tighten each screw individually. If you aren't sure where to put the mast top plate in relation of the board – we always recommend putting it close to the tail of the board with a lower number on our measuring guide. This lower number will create more stability – and you can gradually adjust your mast further forward for more lift and other personality features.

These four screws are labeled (B) and the four track inserts are labeled (C) on the illustration.

3 - FUSELAGE TO MAST

Take your fuselage with the receiving hole in the middle and insert the end of the Shift Mast into it. Then take the other two of the four screws in your hardware kit labeled mast top plate + Fuselage to mast screws and thread them through your fuselage and into the Fluid Mast.

These two screws are labeled (A) on the illustration.

4 - FUSELAGE TO REAR STABILIZER

Take both screws labeled rear stabilizer screws and thread those through the stabilizer and into the fuselage. Be sure and insert the screws into the countersunk hole of the stabilizer.

These two screws are labeled (D) on the illustration.

5 - FUSELAGE TO FRONT WING

Insert the fuselage into the receiving hole of the front wing. Then take all three screws labeled front wing screws and thread those through the front wing and into the fuselage. Do not apply the screws through the wing and into the fuselage if the holes are not lined up perfectly. If the screws are not lined up evenly – it's possible to cross thread your screws damaging both the screws and the fuselage.

On illustration (E) you will see one screw mounts from the top and two from the bottom.
