PERFECT SETUP FOR SMALL TO MID-SIZE WAVE

Always there to keep you inline, this mild temperament set up keeps the good vibe train moving by putting you in the right position to succeed. Designed for riders new to foiling all the way up to advanced foilers riding behind a small to mid size wave. The mast is short enough (24”) that coordinated riders can start off with this height of a mast, while still tall enough that you can grow into a solid performer on first and second wave adventures. The Balance 1300 creates a nimble turn that will easily roll over to edge with its elliptical outline and additional width. It will quickly set you in the sweet spot, keep you on your specified flight pattern, and do it with a consistent, stable edge hold. We love the fact that the carbon wing is painted over in white so you can easily see where the front wing is relative to the waterline to help prevent breeching. This Role Model is the bridge between beginner and high-end foil offerings

UPING THE ANTE ON CONSISTENCY AND STABILITY

Rhythmic flow of a sequence of movements. A common theme in analyzing foils is getting great drive and lift but having a hard time controlling it. The board will skyrocket to the top, plunge to the bottom, or somewhere in between. This series of wings will ask you what floor on the elevator do you want to reach – and most importantly – keep you there because of our unique twist winglet design. A nimble turn that will easily roll over to edge with its elliptical outline and additional width. It will quickly set you in the sweet spot, keep you on your specified flight pattern and do it with a quicker reacting edge hold. High grade carbon fibers are molded in our proprietary autoclave machine for the cleanest and most exact manufacturing process available in foiling. Then we paint white over the carbon fiber so the rider can have a frame of reference of where they are in relation to the depth of the water.

FLUID MAST

24”

A STABLE, MEDIUM TEMPO MAST
Stay high, stay consistent, stay fluid. Speed, lift and travel usually override arguably the most important aspect of your mast – the flow. We have tested a variety of foils in the marketplace. A common theme was feeling the foil setup turning in stages. Each pivot would be good for another “X” degrees until you finally arced through a sectioned turn. We were looking for an effortless turn like you get from ripping powder. A shape manifested with a built-in metronome to keep a consistent, prolonged cadence. The temperament of this mast will see you through the progression of flight all the way to second wave exploration nearly 80 feet from the boat. A fluid session will always have you feeling in control of your ride as you comfortably stand upright in a natural foil position. Don’t let it fool you though -it’s still very much capable of jumping on the gas for a port to starboard wave transfer – just with smooth, linked predictable turns. The perfect mast height for small to mid size waves - jet skis, pontoon boats, waterski boats, etc that don't churn water as deep as the bigger wake boats.

BALANCE REAR STABILIZER

240cm²

A CO-PILOT WITH A CONSCIOUS
The voice of reason mounted on the back of your Link Fuselage is there to conduct your voyage as you navigate the seas. A low temperament design that helps steer the ship and bail you out of a jam when off axis. The perfect amount of grip for those new to foiling – yet still has enough speed to transfer on the second wave. A wider base, added rake, slightly thicker profile, turned up winglets and our signature autoclave construction. The Balance wing puts an emphasis on lift and grip. The two hardest aspects of learning how to foil are generating a consistent lift while you learn how to pump and maintaining stability as you learn how the nuances of turning. Phenomenal beginner stabilizer? Most definitely. But also preferred by high end riders that want a little extra lift and stability on the back of their sleek High Aspect front wing. A proven low temperament design.

SOLID CONSISTENT RHYTHM
The Link 3D is the intersection to the mast, front wing and rear stabilizer with perfection in every nuance. Each fuselage starts out as a high-grade alloy in the shape of a long brick and is then milled on a 3 axis CNC machine to the exact dimension for the perfect fit between the connection points. This streamlined conical design achieves the highest marks of anything we have ever tested in rigidity and water efficiency. A strong efficient link is in many ways the driving force to a smooth predictable foiling experience.

FOILING WILL NEVER BE THE SAME - OR AS DIFFICULT

Several years ago we took a sport that was labeled hard and made it easy with the world’s only adjustable mast. Now we are doing it all over again - this time with the only vertical stabilizer. This new patent pending invention will conveniently slide on any Ronix fuselage to help control and maintain your flight pattern in a way never thought imaginable.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

We designed this stabilizer to aid the journey of flight and are including this with every complete foil set up that comes with a balance wing. The already dependable shift mast now has a running mate to all but guarantee a quick and easy learning experience. But then we realized once you have progressed from our hybrid carbon balance series doesn’t mean you are out of the foiling challenges. Short boards, tall masts, and big front wings are so much fun to ride – but bring about a new abrupt take off that can be hard to control even for riders with a lot of foiling experience. Once a rider feels they have that foundation – the stabilizer can easily slide off to bring out the full personality of our foil setups.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Ever flown on a plane without a vertical stabilizer - why should your journey into foiling be any different? This vertical stabilizer slows down your take off and locks in your turn. Now a rider will have more of a controlled pitch deepwater start and an easier to navigate rolling style turn vs. the more experienced yaw style arc. Once a rider feels they have that foundation – the stabilizer can easily slide off to bring out the full personality of our foil setups.

SUMMARY

A commitment to the new era in flight continues. Whether you are a new rider looking for every advantage to your journey – or an intermediate rider looking to step into an advanced series the vertical stabilizer is an easy add on that will greatly change your experience. The world’s only vertical stabilizer that will easily slide on any Ronix fuselage to help control and maintain your flight pattern in a way never thought imaginable. Short boards, tall masts, and big front wings are so much fun to ride – but bring about a new abrupt take off that can be hard to control even for riders with a lot of foiling experience. This stabilizer slows down that take off so a rider will have a much smoother transition start. Then, once you are riding, this stabilizer will act as a center fin locking in with every turn. Now a rider will have more of a controlled pitch and an easier to navigate locked in turn. Once a rider feels they have that foundation – the stabilizer can easily slide off to bring out the full personality of our foil set ups.

ASSEMBLY

                                                                                                                                  FLUID MAST / BALANCE WING

1 - MAST TOP PLATE TO MAST
Take two of the four screws in your hardware kit labeled mast top plate + Fuselage to mast screws and thread them through your mast top plate and into the Fluid mast. There technically is no top vs. bottom on the mast – but most people apply the mast with the Ronix logo closest to the mast top plate. This way when it is in the water – it is easier to read.

These two screws are labeled (A) on the illustration.

2.A - MAST TOP PLATE TO BOARD (DETERMINING MAST POSITION)
Place your foil board upside down on a flat stable surface.

Grab your assembled mast / top plate from step 1 and look at which profile of the mast is thinner vs. which profile of the mast is thicker. The thinner profile edge of the mast is your trailing edge and should be pointing towards the tail of the board – vice versa on the thicker profile edge.

2.B - MAST TOP PLATE TO BOARD (ASSEMBLY)
Now locate all four of the pieces of hardware labeled foil board track screws and track inserts. Make sure each of the screws are threaded into the track inserts – but barely threaded at first until they are in the correct location. Now put two of the track inserts into the left track – one of them all the way up the track and the other one all the way down the track. Now repeat this with the right track with the additional two track inserts. With all four inserts located in all four corners of the track – set the mast top plate in the middle of the track. Be sure the trailing edge of the mast is the thinner profile end – and is pointing towards the tail of the board. Then individually slide each screw/track insert so that it fits snug into the cut-out area of all four corners of the mast top plate. Once all four inserts are all the way inside the cut outs – you can tighten each screw individually. If you aren’t sure where to put the mast top plate in relation of the board – we always recommend putting it close to the tail of the board with a lower number on our measuring guide. This lower number will create more stability – and you can gradually adjust your mast further forward for more lift and other personality features.

These four screws are labeled (B) and the four track inserts are labeled (C) on the illustration.

3 - FUSELAGE TO MAST
Take your fuselage with the receiving hole in the middle and insert the end of the Shift Mast into it. Then take the other two of the four screws in your hardware kit labeled mast top plate + Fuselage to mast screws and thread them through your fuselage and into the Fluid Mast.

These two screws are labeled (A) on the illustration.

4.A - FUSELAGE TO REAR STABILIZER
Take both screws labeled rear stabilizer screws and thread those through the stabilizer and into the fuselage. Be sure and insert the screws into the countersunk hole of the stabilizer.

These two screws are labeled (D) on the illustration

4.B - FREAR STABILIZER & VERTICAL STABILIZER
If you would prefer more stability while foiling – you can easily loosen the two rear stabilizer screws labeled (D) and slide the vertical stabilizer in between the rear stabilizer and the fuselage. Once it is in the intended location – like the illustration you can tighten the hardware secure.

5 - FUSELAGE TO FRONT WING
Insert the fuselage into the receiving hole of the front wing. Then take all three screws labeled front wing screws and thread those through the front wing and into the fuselage. Do not apply the screws through the wing and into the fuselage if the holes are not lined up perfectly. If the screws are not lined up evenly – it’s possible to cross thread your screws damaging both the screws and the fuselage.

On illustration (E) you will see one screw mounts from the top and two from the bottom
