The Art of the Surf Recon has always been tied to discovery. Long before satellite maps, swell-tracking apps, and drones, finding a new wave meant "doing a recon" The Coastline Prowl - surfers act like detectives, studying nautical charts, driving dead-end coastal roads, and walking treacherous cliff trails. Our most high end collection of surf ropes and handles is a tribute to those exploratory missionaries scouting out the next perfect swell. 

1. The Recon has a Bimini Quick Connect.  Some boats aren't quite as easy as attaching the mainline to the tower.  With this quick connect you just have to attach it to the tower once, and from that point on anytime you want to make an adjustment the mainline attaches to a carabiner on the outside of the Bimini.  With a couple different length options the quick connect will be long enough to go to the front of the Bimini for a much easier adjustment - then otherwise being on the top of the Bimini.  

2. Tangled ropes suck.  Another Ronix invention is having a spinner so that from the second the mainline is tossed from the riders hand as the rope turns the spinner makes sure that it can freely move independent of the loop on the tower.  Long story short - your rope won't tangle up.

3. The Recon uses a high grade - heavy duty Paracord mainline paired with a translucent end cap and hidden flotation inside, along with a extra tacky grip and built in memory foam. Our no-compromise pursuit of what’s possible. 

The key to these new inventions is not having any excess mainline on the carabiner.  So whatever loop the rider wants - remove any excess mainline before attaching to the quick connect.
