RONIX WAKESURFERS - CARBON SKIMMER - 36

TRADITIONAL SKIMMER SHAPE MEETS A FUTURISTIC ONE-OF-A-KIND NEW  CONSTRUCTION.

For riders who want that pure skim feel with a next-gen twist. This low-volume shape delivers less swing weight and quicker spins, and is now upgraded with Speedwalls — these urethane sidewalls make the board faster, tougher, and ride higher on the water. The Carbon Air Core 4 packs a punch thanks to its high-grade spread tow carbon, the same ingredients used in our elite foil line. With a reinvented rockerline, a smooth arc through the middle and flatter rails for more speed and stability.

Endorsed by  Beaux Wildman. A waterman in the truest sense. Beaux knows surfing on the North Shore. Beaux knows 900’s on a wakeboard. Beaux knows prone foiling. Beaux really knows high-energy skimmers and constructions. He wanted a more reactive and lightweight laminate than a traditional woven carbon fiber, so we worked with local aerospace suppliers on developing the perfect spread tow fabric. This material is thinner, lighter and has a much higher tensile strength. The result is a stiffer layup with energy unlike any surfer we have ever made. After we decided on our High Voltage Core, we then reinvented the skimmer rockerline. This brainchild has a smooth, stable rockerline running through the middle of the board for both riding switch and regular, but also can jump on the gas unlike any other board due to its faster rail rockerline. Feeling locked in with good tempo? Then, stay over the board. Needing a little extra push? Rely more on the outside rail. Predictability was also emphasized in the shape. A wider diamond tail allows for a more parallel outline, meaning shuvs and airs land with more speed and stability. A single concave bottom contour also helps maintain down-the-line momentum.

Surf Constructions 101

Why so many surf constructions? All of our surfers can be put into 1 of 4 categories in varying price points. Those that prioritize lightweight, extra energy, extra dampening and of course durability – or those that want a combination of 2 of them.

HIGH ENERGY + DURABILITY

More hole shot response out of a turn with added power off the lip. In surfing we have 3 versions of these laminates that all do the same - but such different variations. Carbon Air Core 4. Made from a spread tow carbon that uses wider, thinner tapes of carbon, resulting in a smoother flatter surface and higher strength to weigh ratio compared to an interlaced woven carbon - the most unique and explosive skimmer in the industry. Dark Matter. In our eyes the holy grail of surf constructions. Made at our H.O.M.E. where Ronix was founded - this board starts off with an eco-friendly bio resin. Then we add this innegra material from France that is a first of its kind in wakesurfing - the pinnacle of reaction and control.

EXTRA DAMPENING + DURABILITY

A term rarely said in surfing is suspension. Choppier water conditions, steeper wakes, foamy lips, or just want a smoother feel. It’s hard to beat the plush ride found in our Koal Classic with wood on the top and bottom. Extra Dampening + Added Durability - Even a softer ride with this added timber construction. The Element Core and Marsh “mellow” also makes for some of the strongest most durable series in our line.

LIGHTWEIGHT

First let’s kick off with the Standard core. This is our baseline of creating a less is more surfer. An affordable value with great feel for the water and turns extra easy because of its low swing weight. Lightweight + Extra Energy - Flyweight and Flyweight Pro is for the rider that wants the best of both worlds being slender on the scale and boastful off the wake with added snap from carbon or S-Glass laminates.

EXTRA DURABILITY

All our boards are built with the first in class materials that won’t break down over time. But three series put even more emphasis on the ooops factor. Tuff Tech. - A durable lightweight and more affordable option with a protective laminate that breaks up the water for less resistance. Packed down to a grom series - with an even lighter version - Sonic Core.

SKIMMER

A fast, responsive style of board where the rider’s position is centered with a more balanced body. These sharp rail, thin profiled boards react quicker for people that don’t have a lot of time to waste. Preferred by surfers that like to have more feel with their board itself – and not just on fins. They can break free easier for 360’s on the water or shuvits off it. A more forgiving style of board when riding behind a steep wake because you typically ride this style of board at a shorter length (making it less likely to dunk the nose). Because of how speedy these models are – you can get away with a shorter, lightweight length.

HYBRID

For riders that like a little bit of everything. They want to generate power through their bottom turns, but still be able to leave the waterline quickly and easily. A growing style of wakesurfing designed for bigger airs leaving the wake but can still lock in for a proper cutback.

SURF

Toss some buckets with some smooth, linked turns inspired by your favorite saltwater surfer. Traditional surf shapes have a thicker profile and a mellower rail/bevel allowing a rider to pivot a turn more from their back foot and are best ridden with either a deeper fin, or multiple fins. Riders usually apply more pressure on the back half of the board and generate more force through a turn. Still very capable of doing tricks on and off the water – just with a fluid like feel.
